Alex Barker has been practicing architecture in the Washington, DC area for over 15 years. His professional background includes a wide range of project types, including multifamily residential, higher education, and civil work. While this experience provides a strong technical and organizational foundation, his true passion lies in single-family residential design.
Alex is deeply invested in helping homeowners navigate the design and construction process with clarity, confidence, and care. From early concept through construction, he serves as a trusted guide and advocate, ensuring each home reflects the client’s needs while balancing design, budget, and constructability.
A lifelong DC resident, Alex attended Landon School and earned his degree from Virginia Tech. Designing homes in the communities where he was born and raised is both personal and meaningful to his practice, allowing him to bring local knowledge, strong relationships, and a genuine commitment to each project.
