Dupont Residence

This Dupont Circle rowhome renovation began with a structure that had been neglected for decades. Purchased in severely deteriorated condition, the home required a full gut renovation to restore both its character and functionality.

We re-imagined the design through a French modern lens, balancing intricate, historically inspired trim work with clean, contemporary lines. With newly open interior spaces, there are clear front‑to‑back sightlines that allow natural light to move freely through the home. What was once a dark and fragmented layout is now a bright, cohesive living environment.

Throughout the renovation, we worked to reinterpret old‑world craftsmanship for modern living. Custom millwork, concealed paneled doors, and chevron‑patterned wood floors introduce layers of detail and surprise, and modern systems and finishes bring the home fully into the present.

The revived rowhome honors its architectural roots and embraces a refined, modern sensibility. The renovation brings new life to a once‑derelict property, restoring its place within the fabric of the neighborhood.
